What Is Digital X-Ray?

Digital x-ray, or radiology, is a non-invasive diagnostic tool that enables us to peer deep inside our patients’ bodies to examine their bones in great detail. This allows us to diagnose injuries, osteoarthritis, and other orthopedic problems. We use digital x-ray to assess the size and overall position of several organs, too, including the heart, lungs, and abdominal muscles. This technology also allows us to confirm and monitor pregnancies and estimate the number of expected puppies or kittens.

Digital x-ray takes just a few moments and exposes patients to less radiation than a traditional x-ray. It also provides fast results and enables us to zoom in and manipulate the resulting images so that we can reach a fast, accurate diagnosis.
